Packing List for Your South African Safari:


Packing for an African safari is easier than many guests expect. Our hunting season generally enjoys dry weather, comfortable daytime temperatures, and cool mornings and evenings. Dressing in layers is the best way to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Laundry is provided daily at all our lodges (except on travel days between camps), so there is no need to overpack. We recommend packing light and leaving room in your luggage for trophies, souvenirs, clothing, and other African keepsakes.


Clothing:

  • 1 Pair of comfortable, well-worn hunting boots
  • 1 Pair of comfortable camp shoes or trainers
  • 4–5 Pairs of hunting socks
  • 5–7 Sets of underwear
  • 3 Hunting trousers (Khaki, Olive Green or Camouflage)
  • 2 Pairs of shorts (Recommended for March, April, September & October)
  • 4–5 Lightweight hunting shirts
  • 1 Warm hunting jacket or fleece
